Electric taxis, e-buses, and bicycles are the only permitted means of transport.
Take the e-bus (red line) to the final stop “Wichje.”

Arrival by train to Zermatt

In Brig and Visp, the mainline trains connect directly to the modern narrow-gauge railway of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.
This scenic journey through the wild and romantic Visp Valley takes about 1.5 hours and brings you directly to Zermatt.

Arrival by car to Zermatt

From Täsch onward, Zermatt is a car-free zone. You have two options for reaching Zermatt from Täsch:

Public Parking & Shuttle Train:
Park your car at the public parking area in Täsch (outdoor spaces only) and take the shuttle train to Zermatt.
Please call us from Täsch train station so we know when to expect you in Zermatt.

  1. Private Parking & Taxi Service:
    Park at Parking Schaller (indoor and outdoor spaces available) and take the Schaller taxi service to the village entrance of Zermatt.
    We’ll be happy to arrange for an electric taxi to pick you up at the entrance and bring you and your luggage directly to Chalet Talisman.
